Goldfinger, DJ, Growing Up

My real name is Ainsley Neil. I was born in a little district in Oxford St. Mary Jamaica at my Grand mother's house. At the 3 months, I was later moved Ocho Rios, where I spent most of my teen years. Ever since I was a baby, my parents told me I used to always bop my head to music. They knew from that point that I would be a music lover. Before I started the whole dj thing, I was a dancer, REAL BIG on the dancing thing. I still dance now occasionally but in the privacy of my own home. I started djing at 12 years old through the influence of my older brother Twitch, who was already a DJ for Tommy Phonic Sound out of Ocho Rios. I played at little kids parties for my friends and other people. I have played at many locations in the US but I really love playing in Tampa, Florida. They have this city called Ebor City which has all the entertainment in one location. I loved having the advantage of the stealing the crowd from another location and packing the club Iam djing at.

The Story Behind Dynamite Sound

I came up with the name Dynamite Sound for the simple fact that, a Dynamite is small but creates a big explosion. My sound was very small but at the same time, played very loud and had a bass line that could rattle windows from miles away. The Sound currently has three owners. Myself- dj Gold Finger, Twitch and Big D. We also hired assistant DJ's, MC's and Mantainance Crew Members. We have a very efficient group. Our average setup time is less than an hour. Dynamite Sound has been in existence officially since 1995. We had our bad moments but through the love of music, we managed to stay together. We play a really good mix of everything but mostly Reggae,Soca and Dancehall. It is in my nature to obviously play Reggae because I am Jamaican. Big ups to the people that influenced my music career, Twitch (my Brother),Jack Ruby, Senator D, Tony Matterhorn and Ricky Trooper. My Favorite tune to play in a club right now is : "She's Royal" by Taurus Riley. It is a really good song with a strong message.

What the Future Holds

I would love to get more involved in djing Techno music. I love the beats cuz they keep you moving. I currently have some remixes on Techno beats that I did and i am not afraid to play them. I also made a few techno beats on my computer a while back but I am definitely going to get my fans used to the cross over between Reggae and techno.

If it wasn't for djing, I don't know what i would be doing. probably be a male stripper or something. lol just kidding. In 5-10 yrs, I see myself on the front cover of mad magazines and billboards all over. I would like to be featured on many albums, and cd's that will be heard globally. Oh man!, I want people to know that above being a dj, I love singing although I am a bathroom singer. Damn, I hope nobody ever request me to sing for them.
