What do you do?

Several things I do…. I’m into Deejaying, Promotion, Networking, Recording, & Engineering.

How long have you been doing it?

Over 7 years for deejaying, over 4 for production, recording, & engineering. Always been networking.

How did you get into it?

Ya know I always had a passion for music. First starting buying records sort of as a hobby, as a way to listen to songs hard to find on CD. Really got into selecting after going to dances and hearing sounds like Stone Love and Renaissances. Was inspired, wanted to bring the vibes like they did. Knew I had the heart for it.

What drives you?

The message from the music.

Who inspires you?

The Almighty. All the singers. All the songwriters.

Do you have any favorite (Reggae Artist, Dancers, and Deejays)?

Delly Ranx, Tony Rebel, Teflon, Queen Ifrica, see all them family to me. Crew International Bitch!!!!! LOLOLOL!!!!! Rebel T, Cash Money, & Black Chiney.

How has (Reggae Music, Dancing, Deejaying) influence you and other people?

Well check it. When asked this question it’s simple. I live for reggae music. Everything around my life is surrounded by reggae music. I eat, sleep, breath, fuck, smoke, no matter what Tosheba got reggaemylitis.

Where were you raised? (Stomping grounds)

 Upstate New York- Buffalo to be precise, but have lived in Cali, Washington, New York, & Vermont… Now Bean Town!!!!

Where you grew up, was (Reggae Music, Dancing, Deejaying) popular?

Buffalo has a nice West Indian Caribbean vibe. Last place thou, Vermont, definitely an irie spot. Nuff Yardman live in the Green Mountains. Great Reggae vibes up there.

Where do you see yourself in 5-10 years?

Itation Sound being a fully independent label.

Who are the founders or members of the Group, Crew, Sound?

Dread Lion, Nickel B, J Trees, Heartical Dan, and myself DJ Tosheba.

How long have you been together?

Well Itation started back in 1999 originally in Vermont. Dreadlion and formal member Selah first i-riginal members. Heartical join shortly after. Then Nickel B join the sound in 02’ Tosheba join the sound in 04’, J Trees most recent joining in summer of 06’.

Do you get along all the time? If not, what kinds of things do you disagree about?

Yeah we like brothers and brothers don’t get a long all the time- its rare thou. But ya know as a family we know how to treat each other with respect. If one of us doesn’t agree with something we large enough to say wuz up. But big enough not to take it personal.

What were you doing before (Music, Dancing, Deejaying)?

Honestly I can’t remember!!!!

Do you have other jobs/ventures on the side?

Paper Chaser!!!! Work my bumboclat ass off!!!! Plus go to school for audio production.

Before a big show or gig what motivates you, loosens you up, relaxes you?

Vibe’ n off some big tunes. Chilling with my peeps!!!!

Who are your heroes? Who do you look up to?

The Almighty, Peter Tosh, Bob Marley, Don’t look up to anyone. Everyone equal.

Do you have any advice for up and coming (Reggae Artist, Dancers, Deejays)?

Just do what you do and be who you are. Don’t let anyone bring you down.

Do you have any future plans?  

Yeah Itation Sound just about ready to drop our first riddim “Triple Crown.” Real nice culture riddim ya know. Nuff big artists voice on it. Look out for it May- June. Extended from Itation like I said in a previous question I’m furthering my education going back to school for audio production.
